The Mungo Foundation operates residential drug services on the Southside of Glasgow, providing detoxification and rehabilitation services. Known as Cothrom Eile this project provides a 9 month residential drug rehabilitation programme for adults who have been affected by homelessness and addiction, and who require a longer term structured rehabilitation service.
Staffed to a high level, the service also provides group work and individual 1:1 support.
The services are 'closed programmes' and people who stay there do not leave the projects unaccompanied. The services also have cooks who provide wholesome meals each day. Health and medical needs are attended to by visiting health professionals.
Each service user is allocated a staff 'Keyworker'. The keyworker is responsible for the overall case management, and works with the service user in the development of individual care and support plans to ensure that they are directed by the specific needs and requirements of the individual.
The services work in partnership with Social Work and Health and bring in additional supports for the people who use the services
