Fairstart project provides accommodation and support to females aged 18 years plus who may have a range of complex needs and who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The aims of the service are to equip people with social and practical skills to enable them to progress to independent living.
Referral and information packs can be requested directly from the project. Referrals are made on behalf of the person by Social Work, Care Managers or Commissioning Teams.
A visit to the project will be arranged for the person and a meeting will take place to assess the suitability of the service and to identify how it can best meet the person’s needs.
Length of Stay
The person can be accommodated for a period of 9-12 months. This is determined by the persons individual support needs, their ongoing development and the continued appropriateness of the service.
Full needs-led person centred support plan which is regularly reviewed and recognises the individual’s rights, needs and choices.

Support to empower and to build confidence in the community and in other social settings.
Access to addiction, mental health and other primary care services via referral by project worker.

Trained staff are available 24 hours a day to support the women in a professional and flexible manner.
