Legislation on Workplace Pensions has changed to make it easier for millions
more people to build up a pension. People are living longer yet many people
are under saving or not saving at all for what could be a long retirement.
The Mungo Foundation provides a contributory Group Personal Pension Scheme for all permanent and temporary staff. Staff who choose not to join this scheme and all Relief Workers will be automatically enrolled into an alternative pension if they meet certain criteria.
The Mungo Foundation has chosen The Peoples Pension as their Auto Enrollment provider.
Provided to all employees; permanent employees will receive two times their basic annual salary whilst relief employees will receive a lump sum of up to £5,000.
Employee Assistance Programme
Available to all employees; the EAP provides a wide range of support and assistance, both practical and emotional. Examples include Occupational Health support and Counselling / Advice services.
SCVO Credit Union
The SCVO Credit Union is Scotland’s leading voluntary sector credit union. They can offer low cost loans, savings facilities, payroll deduction and bank transfers. Membership is available to all employee’s upon commencement of employment.
Available to all employees, this is a salary sacrifice scheme which allows individuals to relinquish a percentage of their salary, up to a maximum of £243 per month, before Income Tax and National Insurance deductions are made. This money will then go towards the cost of childcare with a recognised childcare provider and can result in individual savings of up to £904 per annum.
